2017 Diabetes Cook-off - Vegan Edition

featuring Dawne Gee of WAVE 3 News!

This annual cook-off is hosted by Dawne Gee to bring awareness and education surrounding the subject of diabetes to the community.  She personally has diabetes and has adapted a vegan lifestyle to combat many symptoms. This disease is something that many people suffer from but something that diet can help conquer. Attendees were able to taste and vote on their favorite vegan selections from Chefspace local small business owners/chefs. Thank you to this year's participants, The Kentucky Taco Co, Farm to Baby, and Marinations Catering. Special thanks to The Department of Public Health and Wellness, Rainbow Blossom, Men of Faith, Moments to Remember, The Peer Group, along with our vendors and physicians, and Chefspace for hosting the event.
