I am honored to be a part of the Rising Tide Society, which has local chapters called Tuesday's Together that are sprinkled all over the country. We were given the objective to compete in a competition but to come up with an idea that we could all collaborate on and bring our expertise. So, naturally the wheels started turning! But, Meredith Esarey, a photographer and breast cancer survivor came up with the idea to do "glamour shots" that are Sue Bryce inspired for local breast cancer survivors. Our chapter quickly found consensus and decided to go for this idea! And that is where I came in - planning. This project had many moving pieces but it was so fun to be apart of. From gathering survivors, to getting Starbucks to donate coffee (Thanks Ruthie!) to getting a mansion in Old Louisville as a space for the photos (Thanks Lisa!)
